China’s ZPMC said that its latest 30,000 dwt deck carrier has officially entered service.
The company’s first self-designed and self-built deck carrier, Zhenhua 37, measures 170 m long and 40 m wide, with a draught of 6.5 m.
The ship has a maximum carrying capacity of 26,000 tonnes. A 5,600 sq m deck can support up to 25 tonnes per square m. ZPMC said the ship is built for global operations and is designed to handle extreme sea conditions with stability and precision.
In September 2024, Drydocks World shipyard signed a contract with ZPMC for a 5,000-tonne capacity floating sheerleg crane.
