EEM World, a leading organiser of equestrian events, has contracted Etihad Cargo to transport 68 horses from Belgium to Hong Kong ahead of the annual Longines Masters of Hong Kong.
This is the third consecutive year the airline has been chosen by EEM World to transport the horses for the show jumping event, which takes from February 15 -17.
The horses will be transported from Liège airport on a Boeing 777 freighter equipped with bespoke ventilation and temperature control systems. It features European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified air stalls designed with non-slip floors.
