Maritime AI company Windward and digital maritime platform RightShip have partnered to allow cross-platform data sharing.
The deal will combine Windward’s maritime AI sanctions data with insights into RightShip’s platform and vetting workflow.
The move comes in response to the growing challenges within the maritime industry, such as regulatory compliance, safety concerns surrounding the dark fleet, and ESG pressures to provide transparency in pre and post-fixture operations.
The collaboration will provide stakeholders with information on deceptive shipping practices, dark activities, and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) manipulation, along with existing ESG and safety data.
Windward and RightShip’s partnership comes amid the platform provider’s drive to expand its offerings. Last year, RightShip launched three new subscription tiers to its data and services for owners and managers: RightFLEET Starter, RightFLEET Lite, and RightFLEET Enterprise.
