Norway’s Wilson has added the Hanse Eco-class newbuild coaster vessel Wilson Flex I to its roster.
The vessel is almost 90 m long and has a payload capacity of up to 4,200 tonnes. It is part of a series of four Hanse Eco-class newbuildings that fall under Wilson’s long-term time charter agreements with Arkon Shipping, as HLPFI reported here.
The design of the vessels means it is possible to travel with and without hatch covers, which makes the vessel suitable for transporting large quantities of particularly bulky goods and project cargoes, said Wilson.
Wilson Flex I recently called at the port of Viana do Castelo in Portugal where it is taking on a shipment of boats.
