Royal Wagenborg’s multipurpose vessel Máxima has been certified according to the Clean Shipping Index.
The index, according to Wagenborg, is an independent labelling system of a vessel’s environmental performance, serving as a practical tool for cargo owners to choose high-performing shipping companies when it comes to environmental criteria.
“This certification marks the green character of the latest vessel in the Wagenborg fleet,” said the company. “Wagenborg takes an active part in the shipping and transport decarbonising energy transition. Together with our stakeholders – authorities, clients, investors, public, employees, and suppliers – we accept sustainability challenges to reduce our environmental footprint. One of our goals is to increase the number of vessels certified according to Clean Shipping Index.”
