United Heavy Lift (UHL) has named its 19th and final vessel of its Eco-Lifter fleet, UHL Fable.
A ceremony attended by 400 people was held in Hamburg on July 15 following the ship’s maiden voyage from the shipyard in China.
Andreas Rolner, managing director of UHL, said: “There is a strong global demand for alternative energy sources, and we are proud to be part of the supply chain for green energy.”
On the way from Tianjin and Dongzhao, China to Cuxhaven, Germany, the multipurpose heavy lift vessel transported rotor blades for onshore wind turbines for Danish manufacturer Vestas.
