UECC is launching a North Sea service connecting the ports of Zeebrugge (Belgium), Esbjerg (Denmark), Gothenburg (Sweden) and Drammen (Norway) on a weekly basis.
The service is being launched to cater to several new contracts with some major European car manufacturers and will supplement UECC’s existing weekly Atlantic service connecting the ports of Vigo (Spain), Zeebrugge, Bremerhaven (Germany), Malmo (Sweden) and Drammen.
UECC will initially deploy the vessel Minchah on the service. The company said that it will most likely substitute this vessel with one of three new multi-fuel LNG battery hybrid PCTCs it is currently building. The first of these vessels, Auto Advance, has already been delivered.
