January 14 - Transimex has coordinated project logistics operations for the Memve'ele hydroelectric power project in Cameroon.
The company acted as shipping agent, stevedore, clearing and delivery agent for a shipment of equipment that arrived in Douala from Shanghai on board the vessel Strange Attractor.
The ship delivered cargo destined for the construction project, which is being spearheaded by Chinese corporation Sinohydro.
The 200 MW project, located on the river Ntem in the southwest of Cameroon, has just completed its first phase ahead of schedule, and is expected to begin producing electricity by September 2016.
