March 6 - Three forwarder networks have joined Global Logistics Shield's (GLS) Freight Protection Plan.
GLS provides freight payment and monitoring alert services as well as a professionally underwritten insolvency insurance protection plan for the freight and logistics industry.
The WorldWide Partnership Cargolink Network (WWPC), the World Freight Network (WFN), and Specialist Freight Networks (SFN), are the latest associations to join the GLS protection plan.
The new additions join China Logistics Club (CLC) and Combined Logistics Networks (CLN).
The insurance policy, underwritten by Chartis, provides bankruptcy cover of up to USD1 million for participating companies, on a global basis
