February 25 - The latest newbuilding in Thorco Shipping's fleet - Thorco Lanner - has been launched by Honda Heavy Industries in Japan.
Thorco Lanner is the seventh newbuild in a total of 11 newbuild L-class vessels, which will be delivered to Thorco Shipping.
Thorco Shipping ceo Thomas Mikkelsen said: "In light of the market's recent developments, we have chosen to enlist another mix of vessels in our fleet. Thorco Shipping still holds one of largest multipurpose/project fleets in the world and plans to continue to grow in a strategically sound fashion. In a short period of time since our re-alignment, we have already seen these recent changes pay off."
