AtoB@C Shipping took delivery of the newbuild vessel Terramar in Goa, India on March 14, 2025. The delivery marks the halfway point in the company’s newbuilding programme.
The 5,400 dwt, ice-class 1A Terramar features hybrid propulsion and shore power connectivity. Like its sisterships, the vessel is engineered for year-round operations in the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe. AtoB@C said the integration of battery technology enables emission-free and quiet port visits, significantly reducing CO2 emissions per cargo unit by nearly 50 percent compared to the current generation of vessels.
12 vessels in total will be delivered to the shipping line – one per quarter until the autumn of 2026. The seventh vessel in the series, Biomar, was launched on March 2 and the steel cutting ceremony for the 11th vessel, Megamar, was celebrated in February.
