November 16 - Dutch-based freight industry software house Global Cargo Care has introduced Visual Cargo Care, a new state-of-the-art software package for calculating acceleration forces, lashing and securing for loading of heavylift and project cargo.
"The Visual Cargo Care solution for heavylift and project cargo helps in the calculation of accelerations, lashing and securing, to conceptualise for use in method statements and load-out testing before the cargo is actually loaded, or to make a reverse-calculation to examine the sea fastening. This will save time and money," says the Tegelen-based shipping industry consultancy.
Global Cargo Care's clients include BBC Chartering & Logistics, Beluga Chartering, Clipper Group and Jumbo Shipping.
