Shipping platform and marketplace ShipNext has joined BIMCO’s recently launched technology partnership programme. It is also now able to offer BIMCO charter parties following the signing of a new licensing agreement.
ShipNext said the deal will help enhance digital capabilities for its users while expanding the reach of BIMCO’s SmartCon solution in the transportation industry
The technology partnership programme is part of BIMCO’s attempts to promote digitalisation within the maritime sector.
In 2023, Shipnext and the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) signed a partnership agreement to enhance the education of the former’s students. This agreement provides alumni and members with access to data on international ocean and river fleets, ports, communication services, and its AI-based freight-matching service.
