Scotline Marine Holdings’ 4,800 dwt vessel Scot Explorer has been christened and launched at the Royal Bodewes Shipyard in Hoogezand, the Netherlands.
Construction of the vessel began in February 2019. It has a length of 89.98 m, a beam of 15.2 m and a maximum sailing draft of 5.68 m.
As HLPFI reported here, Scotline placed an order for a third vessel from the Royal Bodewes Shipyard, which will be named Scot Ranger.
Both ships will join Scot Carrier in Scotline’s fleet, which operates in Northern Europe on regular routes between Sweden, Ireland, Denmark, Germany, Norway, the Baltic States, the Netherlands, France and the UK.
