September 16 - Rice Lake Weighing Systems has revealed its unique imaging system, iDimension, which can instantly calculate the shape of boxes and irregular shapes.
The 3D imaging system calculates cargo dimensions in 0.2 seconds to an accuracy of 5 mm, claims Rice Lake. It also has the ability to capture weight, barcodes along with shipping labels, addresses and special handling instructions. This can ensure a reduction in lost revenues through miscalculated freight and compliance errors.
The Wisconsin, USA based company will be demonstrating the iDimension product at the Breakbulk 2014 event, taking place in Houston from September 29 - October 2, 2014.
