Petronas’ subsidiary in Suriname has awarded Ramps Logistics with a contract to provide shorebase support and logistics services for its upcoming drilling campaign at the Sloanea-1 well.

The drilling operations are scheduled to commence during the third and fourth quarter of 2020.

Supply vessels will move all pipe, casing, drilling fluid, cement and other tools to the rig offshore Suriname from Trinidad, where Ramps will provide a shorebase. From here the company will handle Customs clearance and permits for all vessels, Customs brokerage and other personnel logistics, as well as a range of third party services.

Kevin Julen, country manager for Ramps Logistics in Suriname, said: “We are excited to work on this project with PSEPBV [Petronas Suriname E&P B.V] and are enthusiastic about the emerging oil and gas industry in Suriname.”

Ramps Logistics is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN) in Guyana, Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago.
