UK-based specialist marine transport and logistics company Peters & May has signed a partnership with Burgess, a global yacht brokerage and management company.
Through the partnership, Peters & May’s freight forwarding division and its courier department, Corporate Express Courier (CEC), will manage the logistics for Burgess’ newbuild projects in Northern Europe, along with managing shipping requirements for its global fleet of approximately 150 yachts.
With forwarding operations handled totally in-house, Peters & May will be able to coordinate Customs clearance, freight arrangements of goods by all modes of transport, plus inventory and shipment reports.
“This collaboration allows us to bring our specialist logistics expertise to their global fleet,” said Simon Judson, ceo at Peters & May. “We look forward to supporting Burgess with a tailored logistics solution that enhances efficiency, reduces risk, and delivers exceptional service at every stage.”
Burgess recently established a new division devoted to refining its procurement processes and enhancing the procurement service management of both its managed and newbuild fleet.
Last week, HLPFI reported that Peters & May had expanded its freight forwarding operations to the USA.
