100,000 civil service staff that are members of the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union will strike on February 1, 2023. The action is likely to impact the movement of goods through UK ports and airports.
The British International Freight Association (BIFA) said the industrial action will include UK-based Home Office members, including Border Force staff. There may also be some disruption on the morning of February 2 as business returns to normal.
BIFA suggests that if you are able to move goods outside of this period, then you are advised to do so in order to avoid disruption.
