January 9 - The Project Cargo Network (PCN) has added its second official member in Thailand.
Thai Pioneer Logistics, was established in 1996 and is based in Bangkok. It joins Centran International Corporation (Thailand) Ltd as PCN member for Thailand.
The company is part of the Siam Sept Group (which was established in 1977) and was launched to
concentrate solely on the heavy lift and project cargo sectors.
Projects director, Ivan Alt envisages a sharp upturn in project requirements in Thailand and said on joining PCN: "Thailand has had some serious flood issues recently, many of the industrial estates were completely covered with murky water. Most of the machinery and equipment will have to be replaced, and the damaged ones scrapped. We are already approaching the affected manufacturers, and we look forward to assisting them with their re-construction efforts and becoming trusted long term partners to them, with the help of our new PCN partners we are assured of such success."
