March 9 - Ocean7 Projects' multipurpose vessel Abis Dusavik has shipped a 17.5 m high hopper, weighing 138 tonnes, from Cartagena in Spain to Haifa, Israel.
Danish shipping company Ocean7 Projects also undertook all pre-planning for the project. The loading was carefully evaluated with regards to the lifting height and clearance of the crane jibs during the 'swing-in' phase.
Once lifted onto the vessel, the hopper had to be driven forward 35 m in order to allow for more cargo to be loaded on deck during the voyage.
The hopper, which was manufactured by Spain's Metalmecanicas Herjimar, was delivered to Nesher Israel Cement Enterprises.
