The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has introduced a service connecting Southeast Asia and the US West Coast.

MSC said that the Sentosa service will fulfil customer demand for cargo between the regions, serving countries such as Thailand and Vietnam. The shipping line added that it will also improve reliability in the transpacific network at a time when the marker is under considerable pressure.

The Sentosa service will also offer an improved transit time for MSC customers shipping goods between Southeast Asia and California, ensuring the direct Laem Chabang (Thailand) to Long Beach (California) call in both directions. This compensates for the removal of the call on MSC’s Jaguar service.

The service is expected to start in early April with MSC Ornella.
