G2 Ocean confirmed that it will expand its fleet with two additional dual-fuel vessels.
The 82,300 dwt ammonia/methanol-ready open hatch vessels will be provided by Gearbulk, one of the company’s pool partners and shareholders.
The units will be sister vessels to the Pulpmax ships ordered earlier this year and built in the same shipyard. The vessels will be delivered in October 2028 and January 2029.
G2 Ocean previously announced that Grieg Maritime Group will supply four ammonia-ready vessels to its fleet in 2026 and Gearbulk will provide four ammonia-ready vessels in the first half of 2027.
This order will bring the total number of dual-fuel 82,300 dwt open hatch vessels to 10. The vessels will have four electro-hydraulic jib cranes: two 75-tonne lift capacity units, and two with a 120-tonne lift capacity.
