North American specialised transport provider Miller Transfer has added five lowbed mini-deck trailers to its fleet.
According to Miller Transfer, the trailers are ideal for transporting heavy, oversized and irregularly shaped equipment like industrial machinery, transformers, power control buildings, air handling units and furnaces.
The 53 ft (16.15 m) long lowbeds feature a lower and longer deck compared with standard lowbed trailers on the market, says Miller Transfer.
The decks have a clearance of 14 inches (0.35 m), which means the trailers can legally haul extra-tall loads that measure more than 12 ft (3.65 m), says the company.
Each trailer features a hydraulic neck and an adjustable ride height that allows operators to raise or lower the deck as needed.
The decks of the trailers, which measure 33 ft 8 inches (10.2 m) in length, are 5 ft (1.5 m) longer than the lowbed trailers currently in Miller Transfer’s fleet. “This length can be the difference between one or two loads for customers,” according to Miller Transfer.
