February 22 - Messina Shipping Group has taken delivery of Jolly Quarzo - a newbuild multipurpose vessel from Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering.
The 45,200 dwt Jolly Quarzo has an overall length of 240 m, a 37.5 m breadth and an 11.5 m draft.
The Jullo Quarzo is the fourth ship of this specification delivered to Messina Shipping Group by the Daewoo shipyard - four more vessels set for delivery during 2014 will be built by Korean shipyard STX.
The vessel is equipped with a stern quarter ramp with a 350-tonne capacity, and is able to load project cargo up to 7 m tall.
