Longearth has set out on its maiden voyage.

The vessel, the third of four diesel-electric general cargo vessels built by Atlas Shipyard, is currently transporting wind turbine blades from Türkiye to Germany, with an extra call in Italy. Its arrival in Germany is expected at the end of March.

Separately, on March 6, 2025, Longship reached another important milestone with the launch of Longeden, the fourth vessel in this newbuild series. The vessel was christened by Maréva Brisson, operations manager at Longship.

HLPFI reported in September 2024 that Longship had ordered four 6,000 dwt Pmax Eco Trader vessels, with an option for a further four. The newbuilding project is a cooperation between GS Projects and Ship and Steelbuilding (SaS) at Waterhuizen shipyard in the Netherlands, as well as Groot Ship Design. First deliveries are scheduled for 2026.
