Egypt’s Specialized Contracting Company Cranes, based in Cairo, has acquired a used LR 1400/2 crawler crane.
The 400-tonne capacity crawler crane is “ideal for the current heavy-duty projects in Egypt”, said company owner Sayed El Dibiky.
According to Liebherr, the crane will mainly be used in power plant projects, the erection of wind farms and the construction of bridges for the new motorway network.
The LR 1400/2 has already been used to complete the construction of tunnels in Port Said and for the expansion of a power plant in west Cairo.
