Portugal’s Laso Transportes will open a new complex worth EUR10 million (USD10.5 million) next year in the Basque Country, Spain.
A strategic point for Laso’s logistics operations, the company is focused on expanding and consolidating within the region. The project, due to open in September 2025, will feature offices, workshops, a fleet park, plus a 20,000 sq m equipment storage area.
“This investment in the Basque Country reflects our focus on improving operational capacity and the quality of services provided to our customers,” said Laso’s strategy and development manager. “In just one year, our local and international operations have grown significantly, making it essential to create larger and more modern facilities to support our activities.”
Laso Basque Country currently has over 20 employees, a fleet made up of equipment with capacities up to 250 tonnes, modular semi-trailers, extendable platforms, SPMT equipment, gantries, as well as shipping tools.
Through this project, Laso intends on not only utilising sustainable methods, but also contributing to the economic and social development of the Basque region.
Last month, HLPFI reported that Laso had delivered components for Cerrato Wind Farm in Valladolid, Spain.
