Kuehne + Nagel (K+N) has introduced three airfreight charter connections between the Americas, Europe, and Asia using its own B747-8 freighter.
K+N will conduct two additional weekly routings from Atlanta and Chicago to Amsterdam and then on to Taipei as it enhances services for the healthcare, perishables and semi-conductor industries.
As one of the world’s leading microchip manufacturers, Taiwan accounts for approximately 20 percent of the global semiconductor industry, K+N explained. By connecting Taiwan with the Benelux region, the forwarder will offer controlled capacity for its semiconductor customers while adhering to the strictest quality standards.
Earlier this year, K+N announced its SemiconChain quality standard in response to the market’s increased need for secure and reliable semi-conductors transportation.
