April 8 - Kaleido Logistics, together with RocketSpace, has launched what it claims is the first acceleration programme for logistics startups - Logistics Tech Accelerator.
RocketSpace says that the logistics technology accelerator programme will enable startups and large corporates to come together to fuel cross-industry partnerships and set a new standard for logistics innovation.
The main objective of the Logistics Tech Accelerator is to identify and put together the expertise and knowledge of various companies, organisations and startups, with the view to taking on the challenge of rethinking logistics.
Since 2008, Kaleido says that it has focused on building its innovative services and applying technology to its logistics activities.
"A tech approach to all logistics projects is a must and part of our core business," said Kaleido ceo Xoán Martínez. "To accelerate our initiatives, it's critical to evolve toward an open innovation approach where we can pair our global logistics knowledge with the industry's brightest startups to create cutting-edge tech solutions."
The four-month programme challenges the startups to accelerate their projects in order to achieve scalable and measurable results. It will also provide training and funding rounds.
The Logistics Tech Accelerator programme is open for startup applications from April 6 to May 6, 2016. The programme officially kicks off in June with a five-week online curriculum programme for startups, wrapping up with a final public demo day in September.
