Jumbo Maritime has installed two mechanical sails on its heavy lift vessel Jumbo Jubilee.
In addition to the Econowind sails, Jumbo has added anti-fouling measures to the vessel’s propellers. It also continues to monitor the hull’s anti-fouling paint layers.
The vessel’s propulsion system has also benefited from an upgrade, which minimises fuel consumption at a set speed, The new sail generate extra thrust which reduces the burden on the main engines and further cuts fuel usage further.
