March 04 - Intermarine has taken delivery of Industrial Egret, the second in a series of four newbuldings which will enter the shipping line's fleet over the next 12 months.
The ship is scheduled to arrive in Santos, Brazil around March 6 where it will load wind energy components bound for Houston.
Nominated as the E-Class series, these 10,000 DWT ships feature dual 250 tonne cranes that may be combined for 500 tonne lifts.
With an overall length of 139 metres and beam of 20 metres, the ships have a similar hull design as the seven Century and six Diamond-class vessels operated by Intermarine, but with increased cargo carrying capacity.
The remaining two vessels in the series - Industrial Edge and Industrial Echo - will deliver over three month intervals.
Intermarine has found this versatile, midsize project/heavy-lift carrier ideal for the customised voyage construction in which the company specialise.
Industrial Eagle below is a sister ship of Industrial Egret and is seen loading and sailing from Santos, Brazil with a full load of wind energy components for Houston.
