California-based maritime insurance firm Integrated Specialty Coverages (ISC) has established a marine risk consulting unit.
The move will allow ISC to cover an array of matters within the marine sector including supply chain reviews and project logistics surveys to heavy lift transportation and analysis of port facilities.
Captain Andrew Kinsey has been brought in as ISC’s director of marine risk consulting as part of this expansion. Kinsey has more than 30 years of experience in the maritime industry and is a Master with unlimited tonnage and “any ocean” rating designation, whilst currently serving as the US representative on the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) loss prevention committee.
“Our new marine risk consulting services in addition to our underwriting team allow us the opportunity to broaden our footprint and better serve the marine insurance industry,” said Kevin Wolfe, senior vice president of ISC’s marine division.
