HLPFI reported in October 2022 that HMC had selected Huisman for the delivery of this gripper frame, which will allow the company to install monopiles up to 12.5 m in diameter, with a length of up to 115 m and a weight of 3,200 tonnes.

After 2.5 years of engineering, fabrication and significant testing, HMC said the load-out was successfully completed by Mammoet at the Huisman quay in Schiedam, the Netherlands. Next week the gripper frame will be towed onto the barge H-408, which will make its way from Schiedam to the Calandkanaal, where Thialf is berthed.
