Hendrik Veder Group has tested a 5,000-tonne lifting capacity tub-mounted crane.
The crane, fitted onboard Allseas’ vessel Pioneering Spirit, passed the test, lifting 5,500 tonnes – a 10 percent overload.
For the test lift, Hendrik Veder Group supplied rigging and pontoons that are custom-built for testing purposes. The company’s project scope included designing the rigging and ballast plans, which were approved by the client, classification society and insurers.
An experienced team of heavy lift riggers from Hendrik Veder Group oversaw the testing and ensured effective coordination among everyone involved.
