Harren Group has launched its groupwide “Act Safely!” programme, a new initiative that reinforces safety as a core value within the organisation.
The maritime and logistics conglomerate said that safety begins with leadership and “we are proud to have a dedicated team of leaders who are committed to fostering a culture of safety throughout our organisation”. Through the “Act Safely!” initiative, the company’s leaders will engage with employees, create engagement, providing guidance, and ensure that safety remains at the forefront of its operations.
The programme also encourages ownership of safety. “At land or at sea, we believe that by promoting a culture of ownership, we can collectively identify and mitigate risks, prevent accidents, and continuously improve our safety practices. Every employee plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of colleagues, vessels, workplaces, and the environment,” said the company. The group added that it will continuously invest in training, conduct regular safety audits, and encourage open communication channels for reporting and addressing safety concerns.
