Switzerland's Friderici Spécial has taken delivery of two Goldhofer MPA 6 semi-trailers.
According to Goldhofer, in the six-axle version, the MPA can handle a payload of 76 tons (69 tonnes) at an axle load of 12 tons (10.9 tonnes) each, while the extendable deck is capable of handling a wide range of cargoes.
André Friderici, technical director, explained that the MacPherson axle, which offers 60 degree steering, provides significantly improved manoeuvrability.
"With regard to the economics, we are particularly happy with the low maintenance requirements of the MPA 6. Reducing the steering axle system to so few parts means less wear and very impressive long-term availability," added Friderici.
Operating from Tolochenaz, Vernier and Neuchâtel, Friderici Spécial provides international heavy haulage and special transportation services.
