G2 Ocean said that Seaber’s AI platform provides data-driven decision support for scheduling and chartering which allows players within the shipping industry to maximise fleet utilisation and cost efficiency.

“Seaber.io is a tool with great potential in terms of supporting our team with quick calculations and optimised fleet plan suggestions,” explained Benedicte Hjelle Størksen, director of digitalisation and innovation at G2 Ocean. “By using Seaber.io, we aim to increase automation and data-driven decision-making to reduce ballasting days and our carbon footprint. We also aim to free up time for other value-adding activities.”

Seaber.io supports both single-cargo voyages as well as multi-parcel and multi-port operations. The platform, able to integrate with existing voyage management systems, can be deployed immediately.

“Our platform empowers companies to make data-driven decisions that optimise voyages, increase fleet utilisation, and minimise emissions,” added Jean-Guy Faubert, chief revenue officer at Seaber – which is based in Finland.

In August 2024, G2 Ocean confirmed that it will expand its fleet with two additional dual-fuel vessels.
