A fire broke out aboard BigLift Shipping’s heavy lift vessel Happy Rover on August 21 while drydocked in Schiedam, Rotterdam. The captain and crew were not harmed.
BigLift Shipping said the vessel has been released but it did not have insight as to the extent of the damage at this time.
According to FleetMonitor, the ship arrived at Rotterdam on August 8 from Canada. The fire broke out in the fore part of the ship.
The Happy R-type ship features two 400-tonne lifting capacity cranes capable of lifting up to 800 tonnes in tandem.
