Fesco Transportation Group and Russian Railways Logistics (RZD Logistics) are launching a Trans-Siberian multimodal service to expedite the delivery of goods from Japan to Europe via Russia.
A test container was shipped on May 23 from Yokohama. The service will run from the Japanese port to the Commercial Port of Vladivostok in Russia along the Trans-Siberian rail network, in preparation for onward transportation to destinations in Europe.
As part of the joint transit product, Fesco will provide port handling services and sea transport, while RZD Logistics is responsible for rail transportation.
The service will be available to customers in June 2019.
