Europe Caribbean Line (ECL) will boost its regular service between Europe, the Caribbean and the northern coast of South America with regular calls in Spain.
Vertraco Shipping, the managing and commercial agents of ECL, said the regular liner service would now call at the Spanish ports of Bilbao and Santander. Other northern Spanish calls can be made on inducement. Bergé will act as representative agent in Spain.
The monthly service also includes regular calls from the ports of Antwerp (Belgium), Vlissingen and Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Hull (UK), Bridgetown (Barbados), Georgetown (Guyana), Paramaribo (Suriname), Point Lisas (Trinidad), and Mantanzas/Palua (Venezuela).
With Bridgetown serving as a hub port, ECL can also service St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Grenada, and Dominica.
Bergé said that the sectors most likely to benefit from the enhanced service are the steel industry, rolling stock and yachts, and the manufacturing industry, including project cargo.
