Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) is cooperating with DS Lab Company to develop a marine cyber threat intelligence system.
DS Lab Company specialises in cyber security technology for ships. The two companies will also work with Korea University, SECUI, and PIOLINK on the development of cyber security technology development.
The collaboration will use DS Lab Company’s ‘Cyber Turtle Ship’ platform as a basis for further development. DSME will conduct tests and act as advisors so that the developed security technology can be mounted on ships.
DSME said that with the development of autonomous ships and smart ships where information technology (IT) and operation technology (OT) are applied, the need for cyber security is rapidly increasing.
