Freight forwarder Davies Turner recently managed the shipment of two Great British Sports Cars (GBS) Zero vehicles from the UK to the USA.
The two recently shipped cars were sent in kit form, requiring meticulous packing in custom-built crates to ensure they arrived undamaged, and ready for final assembly.
With the collaboration beginning in 2021, Davies Turner has become the trusted logistics provider for GBS, managing both full container load and less than container load shipments, primarily to North America.
The freight forwarder handles multiple shipments annually, ensuring that GBS’s handcrafted cars, whether fully assembled or in kit form, reach their global destinations on time and in perfect condition. In addition to shipping complete vehicles, Davies Turner also facilitates the urgent delivery of parts and spares via airfreight when necessary.
“Working with GBS has been a remarkable journey,” said Derek Shepley, sales executive at Davies Turner. “Its dedication to craftsmanship and innovation in the automotive industry is inspiring. We are proud to support its expansion into the North American and other global markets and look forward to continuing our partnership as its business grows.
“GBS knows that no matter where its customers are, we can ship their car or kit via a logistics service that is tailored to meet their local regulations.”
Richard Hall, director of GBS, added: “As GBS continues to expand, it is looking at new destination opportunities globally. The supply chain management expertise of Davies Turner, and its robust international logistics network supports our efforts to meet increasing international demand for our company’s sports cars.”
