July 22 - The 28,000 dwt multipurpose heavy lift vessel DA XIN has joined the fleet of COSCO Shipping Co (Coscol).
DA XIN has a tandem lifting capacity of 700 tonnes, an overall length of 179.5 m, a breadth of 28 m and a maximum speed of 15.2 knots.
The vessel is the first of four newbuildings being built at the Shanghai Shipyard, which are suitable for carrying over-dimensional and overweight cargoes, said Coscol.
