One of the 12 missing crewmembers of ForestWave's vessel FWN Rapide, which was attacked by pirates off the coast of Nigeria, has been found during a search of the vessel.
As HLPFI reported yesterday, the Dutch vessel was on its way from Takoradi, Ghana to Port Harcourt, Nigeria when it came under attack. The vessel is currently in a safe position in Nigerian waters.
The seafarer, who had been hiding on board the vessel since Saturday, is unharmed and in a healthy condition, said ForestWave.
The company has confirmed that contact has yet to be established with the eleven missing crewmembers. Their safety and swift return remains the company's main priority.
