December 23 - Cosco Shipping has taken delivery of two newbuild 36,000 dwt multipurpose heavy lift vessels - Tian Fu and Tian Lu.
The two vessels, which were delivered to the Chinese shipping line from Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering, are equipped with four cranes and a 200-tonne tandem lifting capacity, as well as four large cargo holds.
Measuring 189.99 m long with a draft of 11 m, the ships have around 14,000 sq m of cargo loading space and over 31,000 cu m of bulk cargo storage.
Cosco claims that these new vessels are now the largest multipurpose heavy lift ships in its fleet.
