Chipolbrok has ordered two more newbuild multipurpose ships from Chengxi Shipyard in China.
Both newbuilds will enter service in 2025/2026. The vessels will have similar specifications to the six delivered in the company’s latest newbuilding programme (approx. 62,000 dwt, 300-tonne lift capacity).
Tai Xing, Herbert, Pilecki, Yong Xing, Yu An and and the recently commissioned Boym are almost identical in construction and feature box-shaped holds without centreline bulkheads, 75,000 cu m of under-deck space, and a 5,000 sq m flush weather deck.
The ships are suited to carrying heavy and out-of-gauge cargoes, as well as other bulk and general cargoes.
Classification was done by DNV as +1A, general dry cargo ship together with Chinese classification CCS CSA and Polish Register of Shipping, respectively.
