Chinese-Polish multipurpose shipping line Chipolbrok has intensified its focus on the Italian market by increasing the number of shipments to and from the country during 2024.
With help from Tripcovich, Chipolbrok’s long-term operational Italian agent, the latter performed a contact of affreightment throughout 2024. The most common routes were from Taicang, China, to Porto Marghera and Salerno.
Equipment such as tunnel boring machines (TBM) were shipped aboard the likes of Chipolbrok’s multipurpose vessel Star. 51,000 freight tons of wind turbine equipment was shipped aboard Tai Xing to Civitavecchia and Naples, along with a full deckload of turbine blades onboard Pilecki from Nantong to Oristano.
Travelling via the Cape of Good Hope, Chipolbrok’s Kraszewski loaded project cargo at Marghera destined for Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, and Shanghai, as well as from Livorno and Marina di Carrara to Singapore and Tianjin.
Chipolbrok star is due to load machinery in Marina di Carrara this month, before heading to Singapore and Shanghai.
Last month, HLPFI reported that Chipolbrok had begun its service from Asia to the Middle East Gulf.
