July 17 - CEVA Logistics has opened the City of Energy: a new hub in the UAE's Jebel Ali Free Zone dedicated to the warehousing and handling of oil and gas products for the energy sector.
CEVA says that it is the first logistics company with a facility dedicated solely to the oil and gas market in the Middle East.
The City of Energy will house CEVA's oil and gas customers and will be home to the company's dedicated oil and gas and project logistics team.
"The City of Energy was established to serve as a catalyst for the growth and expansion of our oil and gas expertise in Middle East and Africa," said CEVA's chief commercial officer, Hakan Bicil.
"Dubai has now become the regional hub for logistics, which makes it a very strategic location for the City of Energy," added Jerome Lorrain, executive vice president for the Balkans, Africa and the Middle East.
