Cargolux has doubled its airfreight services to Budapest and now offers six connections to the Hungarian capital each week.
Cargolux will operate an additional flight from Hong Kong to Budapest as well as two services originating in Zhengzhou, China. All three flights continue on to Luxembourg.
The increase will benefit both the airline and the airport, according to Domenico Ceci, Cargolux executive vice president of sales. He said: “There is a growing interest for services to and from Budapest and its greater region.”
Richard Forson, Cargolux president, added: “Budapest has proved over the years, to be an important transit hub for cargo in Europe and an increasingly important destination on Cargolux routes.
“These enhanced frequencies will enable both parties to explore new markets while cementing Cargolux and Budapest airport’s positions as frontrunners in the European airfreight market.”
