Offshore installation contractor Cadeler has signed agreements with Ørsted to install turbine foundations at the Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm.
Installation off the UK’s eastern coastline is expected to begin in 2026. It will be the first time that Cadeler makes use of its F-class vessel which, by the time of the execution, will be the latest addition to the fleet. The F-class vessel is tailored for the transportation and installation of foundations.
Cadeler has been actively involved in the building of wind turbines for the Hornsea 2 project, and it said this contract is a natural continuation of its activities in the area.
